"a Barn where you Belong"

Riding Lessons

At Life in Stride Riding Center, we believe that success AND happiness on horseback begins with personalized riding instruction in a safe environment on experienced lesson horses. Blessed with nationally ranked riders as our volunteer instructors, every child will be given detailed 1-on-1 attention while they learn the basics and beyond in western horsemanship. Our intermediate and advanced riders have the options of group lessons where they can pursue the riding style that their heart desires. If your child wants to become partners with a horse in the show arena, run barrels at rodeos, or simply embrace the equestrian lifestyle, we are help them chase their dreams!

Private Beginner Lessons: Learning the basics of horsemanship, safety, grooming, and develop understanding of the 5 principal riding aids. This is where riders will gain balance, a relationship with their lesson horse, and a bond with their instructor. 1 hour private lessons, required for all new riders.

Intermediate Riding Lessons:  For 1 hour and 15 minutes, a group of 4 riders will work on strengthening their riding skills as they walk, jog, and lope. Riders can arrive early and stay late to saddle and unsaddle their horses. Lessons will include western horsemanship, trail courses, leg and core strength exercises, bareback riding, working with young horses, and some friendly competitions! All of these lessons will be led by Kate Evans, the owner of Life in Stride. Kate is  "YouthMax" certified with John Maxwell and incorporates leadership training in all her lesson curriculum.

Specialty Lessons:  If your child has ridden in our intermediate riding program for a semester or more and has interest in: Rodeo, Horse Showing, English Riding or Ranch Horse events, this is you for! We bring in instructors who have trained and competed in these events to teach our riders the skills they will need to compete in the arena. Equally important, we have several lesson horses that have extensive understanding of these events, which allows new riders to learn at a quicker rate.
All students will receive free access to any events Life in Stride Riding Center puts on each month. Check out or Events page to check for upcoming events!

We are located at 5695 Cross Creek in College Station, Texas.
